Sunshine Manor is a quaint assisted living facility in Placerville, about 40 miles west of Sacramento, nestled in the foothills in a residential neighborhood, just a half-mile away from a hospital and doctors’ offices. We can accommodate 12 residents, and offer both private and shared rooms. Sunshine Manor feels like a large country house – it is, in fact, a local historic building. It features a lovely patio area where residents can socialize together and meet with their families.

Health Support
- Bedside Care for temporary illness
- Daily assisted care is provided by 24-hour care staff trained in first aid and resident care
- Physical therapists, home health aids, and occupational therapists can be coordinated for rehabilitation
- All medications are centrally stored and dispensed by a specified care staff member in strict accordance with each physician’s orders
- Sunshine Manor maintains a complete medication records with drug name, strength, quantity, and instructions for administration of medications and other essentials
Dining
At Sunshine Manor, our experienced chefs prepare three nutritious meals daily, featuring the finest meats, poultry, fish, fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade breads, and desserts.
- Snacks are served at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m
- Fresh fruit, juices, and desserts are always available, as well as snacks tailored to our residents’ personal preferences
- At supper time, a light entrée is served, accompanied by soup of the day, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, and choice of beverage
- Menus can be created to meet the needs of residents with special dietary requirements
- In the event of illness, residents can be served meals in their rooms
Social Events
Providing for our residents’ social and emotional needs is just as important to us as looking after their physical well-being. To this end, Sunshine Manor interviews each resident to determine their favorite activities and interests.
This information is used to develop the social activities they will find most rewarding.
